Hello, I'm new to using DND beyond for a campaign, but my current party wanted to try it out. I'm currently playing a grave domain cleric and I know you have to purchase Xanthar's guide to everything for that to pop up on your character sheet (even if you already own a physical copy).
I just wanted to know before spending 30 bucks if it would include all the spells associated with the subclass? Because it lists 52 spells that it gives you, but not all of them are the Grave Domain spells introduced with the subclass. For example false life is not available to me right now, but it's not listed as one of the 52 spells I would gain. Would I have to buy another book to get all my spells?
You have to own the book the spell is in. So I’d suggest checking out the PHB (though which PHB is a separate question). Odd if you don’t have false life, since that’s in the basic rules, so everyone should have it for free.
I ended up getting frustrated to the point of buying the book and hoping for the best. It did give me the grave cleric spells even if they weren't introduced in the book. So good news there.
Yeah, it didn't give me false life until I purchased the book. It's strange, but I got it in the end, so it all worked out.
