A creature you touch becomes invisible until the spell ends. Anything the target is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target's person. The spell ends for a target that attacks or casts a spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 2nd.

I am a little confused. if it is only undone by an attack. if I have animal companion or a battle master and tell them to attack do I keep my invisibility because I am not the one attacking?
After asking around, the answer seems to be yes for anyone is curious but should always check with the dm about it
Yes the arcane trickster does get this spell
Why would you want to? I mean sure you could but you would only be hurting yourself by doing so...
Activating a magical item wouldn't count but any magical items that has a spell attack would still be attacking.
They wouldn't be able to see themselves however you can have a general sense of where your hands are. Just like you can catch things without looking at them. Although you might fail a stealth check because you lost track of where your foot is
Ghosts don't need to turn invisible anyway, they just can go into the border ethereal, achieve the same effect without actually being touchable
sense it take somatic components u cant use it stealthily if your too close from what your hiding from?
As for the horse thing.
Wouldn't the horse get a little confused and scared about becoming invisible? And if he does wouldn't he try to fight back or run away?
The only horses that wouldn't get confused and scared would be blind ones or ones who are accustomed to becoming invisible throughout their life.
Train your horse from birth.
Can't believe this is concentration....
I love the way you put this together
How many people can you use invisibility on when using it on 2nd lvl
If you cast invisibility on someone and they get separated from you and then attack someone, will you know that they broke the spell so you can stop concentrating?
Can this be cast on items?
Is it possible for arcane trickster rogues to unlock this ability?
Hi, do you have any source or any info on the invisibility ability gaining because I can't seem to find it for arcane trickster.
Yes, 'a creature you touch becomes invisible' so you can just touch yourself.
It's important to note that being invisible doesn't mean you are hidden from your opponents, even though they can't see you (which means they can't cast spells that require sight on you or make opportunity attacks for the same reason) they can still know your location by sound, smell and footsteps, unless you take the hide action to make a stealth check (it doesn't grant you advantage also, it simply allows the hide action) against their passive perception, only then you are hidden (if you succeed on the check ofc).
That said, invisibility serves as a way to impose disadvantage on attacks against you, to give you advantage on your attacks, to allow for stealth in scenarios you otherwise couldn't and to make it impossible for attacks that require sight of you to be done against you, such as a hold person spell or an opportunity attack since they require sight.
According to designer Jeremy Crawford you cannot make stuff you pick up invisible, but you can hide it under your invisible clothes (or bags I guess, or inside your fist maybe?). The item is still visible if you put it back down (or hold out).26 Mar 2016
Invisibility is a 2nd level Wizard Illusion spell, so Arcane Tricksters have access at 7th level.
Yes. You can always Touch yourself.
