There is a strange sensation of weightlessness as the party traverses the portal. A moment passes and then the party is now in Primeer. You stand at the edge of a raised and broken causeway under a hazy, twilit sky. The causeway, which is built from pale stones that glow faintly from within, towers over the surrounding landscape, but large sections of it have crumbled away. The parts that remain in place are separated by large gaps where portions have collapsed. A fog-shrouded swamp spreads out below you in all directions, and up from its murk wafts the smell of rotting plants. Also rising from the swamp is the music of nature—a discordant symphony of croaking frogs and singing birds.
The party is standing on the massive stone causeway with large colorful shelf mushrooms growing on the lower half of the pillars supporting the causeway. The highway is 20 feet wide and 100 feet above the swamp. The marshland surrounding the pillars is hidden under a 10-foot-thick blanket of fog.
“Well ah’ll be.. this is remarkable!” Finley says as he walks to look over the side of the highway. “Ye think they sent us ta the’ right place? Ah realize now that they could ‘Ave tricked us inta th’ portal, but that’s in th’ past either way..” He continues staring down at the mushrooms, and after a moment seemingly coming out of a trance he pulls out his tools and begins working on enhancing his armor.
Look over the edge Finely sees the side of the columns which are pockmarked due to being worn down over time. It looks possible an able climber might be able to climb down.

On the map the party is on the far left
(OOC: The party is on an unbroken and glowing section of the causeway. The causeway is 20-feet wide, but how long is it? That is, if we're right above the shelf mushrooms at the bottom-left corner of the map, can we see the end toward the north where the causeway is broken from where we stand? Can we see anything to the south, or does the causeway just vanish into the mists?)
Valrieth looks around quietly. As she takes it all in, she says, "Oh dear! I'm not sure this is quite right. Madryck Roslof called Prismeer 'vibrant.' Maybe Prismeer fell into disrepair when the coven took over?" Val looks over the edge of the causeway, down to the shelf mushrooms and the mist-covered swamp below. She wrinkles her nose and says, "That swamp does not smell healthy, more like a forest or prairie that has been flooded."
Val covers her mouth and yawns. "I'm tired after a full day of excitement at the Carnival. Pulling off that heist was a nerve-wracking experience, and I wasn't even the one who had to sneak up and steal the watch. I feel like we accomplished some real Good today! We kept the creepy mirror girl away from that halfling, we restored Candlefoot's voice, we helped bring Candlefoot and Palasha back together, and we kept that little boy with the mirror ball from getting lost! Now that we've made it to Prismeer, I'm ready to find a place to camp and get some sleep!"
“Well ah’ll be.. this is remarkable!” Finley says as he walks to look over the side of the highway. “Ye think they sent us ta the’ right place? Ah realize now that they could ‘Ave tricked us inta th’ portal, but that’s in th’ past either way..”
Still looking around dreamily at the swamp and then up to the darkening sky, Valrieth says, "No, I feel that we can trust Mr. Witch and Mr. Light in this case. I believe that we're in Prismeer, but it's starting to sound like this coven has either deposed Zybilna or has taken over in her absence. I'll tell you more about what I learned from Mr. Witch and Mr. Light once we make camp. Oh!"
Val suddenly snaps into focus as she takes off her backpack and pulls out her notebook. She scribbles down some notes before looking up. Seeing Finley starting to work on his armor, she suggests that the party find a safe place to camp first so that they're all settled in before he gets too absorbed in tinkering.
Briefly:
Val suggests camping on the causeway for the night. She doesn't want to explore the swamp in the dark.
If the group is worried that it'll get to cold or wet, she suggests getting the tent out of the portable hole.
It's a "2-person" tent, but it probably fits 3 if Hisa and Val are 2 of the people in the tent. Those not on guard
They won't need a fire since the causeway appears to provide enough light to keep watch.
Val eats a Goodberry and offers one to the others if they're hungry.
Before going to sleep, Val will discard any remaining berries from yesterday and cast Goodberry again.
She wraps up the 10 new berries carefully for tomorrow.
Unless the others object, Val summons a fey spirit in the form of an owl before it gets too dark. (She uses 1 x wild shape to summon a wild companion.) No offense to Gan-Re! Since they're in a new and strange place, she feels safer if Gan is close at hand in case something suddenly attacks.
A large barred owl suddenly glides quietly to Val and lands on top of her backpack, which is still sitting on the ground next to her. The owl is about 18-inches tall, and perched on top of Val's pack, it's basically right at Val's eye-level. She smiles and laughs happily when she sees that it worked. Val wonders out loud, "I've never done that successfully before! I wonder whether my family's connection to the Feywild makes my powers more potent here." She seems to gain some confidence from that thought and stands a bit taller.
Val asks the owl to fly about 1 mile along the causeway, both above and under the causeway, looking for any creatures larger than itself. She just wants to make sure that there isn't some monster hiding just out of view or right under the causeway that will come gobble them up in their sleep. While it flies off, she sets up camp with the party in a safe spot on the causeawy (i.e., not near any edges or anything that looks crumbling and unstable).
Once the owl returns, Val asks it what it found. Assuming that there wasn't anything scary or potentially hostile that they need to investigate, Val kneels down on her bedroll and seems even more zoned-out than usual, staring straight ahead into the distance and not blinking. For a couple of minutes, the owl flies away again and circles around the area where they've decided to camp, keeping within 100 feet. She vicariously enjoys the sensation of flying, seeing and hearing through the owl's eyes and ears as it circles above their campsite and even swooping below the campsite, down closer to the mushrooms on the columns supporting the causeway. She eventually comes back to her own senses and dismisses the owl so that she can get ready for sleep.
Right before entering the portal Hisashi gives Mr. Witch and Mr. Light a peculiar look, "You don't seem to care about da people, just the carnival hmm? Danks for da help, we fix we fix.. not sure it matters, but less missing people, more business and joy fer you all?" she forces out nervously with a reassured nod.
She jumps into the portal as if cannonballing into a pool appearing on the other sider still holding her two legs against her torso and apparently holding her breath? Strange indeed. A moment passes before she lets out a gasp as she stands carefully, her eyes widen with a vastness of pure joy. "Wow! Dis is Prismer, ah-mazing!.. I don't like da Mr.'s But I don't think they would trick us, I don't..."
Hisashi declines the goodberry politely as she rubs her tummy "Still gots all the custard I culd ask for in my belly mhm, but yes camp here den we move. I can keeps watch too mhm. dat owl is a neat neat trick!" She says as she places her items on the ground, picking up her Yklwa, a crude short spear typical of her tribe, and rests it on her shoulder "Do ya think we've got tasty beasties in dis place? Or just big scary ones?"
“Ah’m fine with stayin’ up here fer a rest. There is a way down right over ‘ere near me.” Finley says, “ah’ll have a way down by morning don’t you doubt it. Could use one o’ them berries too if ya don’t mind?”
Finley will have a Rope of Climbing ready shortly after his armor is enhanced.
He watches the owl summoning with interest, his work ceasing momentarily, “Yer stronger than ye think, although ah do believe yer right about yer fey heritage being boosted here.”
He looks around a bit as he hears Hisashi, “why cannae the big scary beasts taste good too? Ah’ll admit ah’m no hunter though.” He continues tinkering and adapting his armor while keeping an ear out.

Valrieth says, "Oh? I just thought that we could jump in the portable cave for a minute and have Gan-Re fly us down. Then he could open the hole on the ground below -- assuming that we can find solid ground. But I guess you know more about those kinds of arcane objects. Would we survive if Gan-Re folded up the cloth while we were in the portable cave?"
No you cannot see the end of the causeway and behind is shrouded in magical mist. I would says Gan-re can if he takes flight and tries to get a birds eye view from high up.
There are enough signs of a crumbling causeway as there are cracks and some parts that has broken off.
Val's owl sees the end of the broken causeway, but no monsters.
During Hisashi's shift on watch she sees rainbow luminescent birds that fly over the camping party. They give off a soft glow and soon fly off deeper into Hither. Nothing dangerous comes during her watch.
Hisashi stares at the bird in aw as she ponders what else might be waiting for them in this new and exciting world. She's never seen so many colors on one creature before. Truly a worthwhile encounter to start their journey. When the time comes, she wakes up Gan and goes to sleep. "Peaceful so far Mr. Gan mhm, peaceful indeed."

Mr. Witch and Mr. Light says these words just as Val is halfway into the portal
Mr. Witch says "Mind the Rule of Three: future, present, past.”
Mr. Light says "Find the alicorn and free the dormant queen at last.”
Then Val is pulled into Prismeer.
Everyone is now Level 2
