Ixsas is happy to chat. You've gathered that he was raised from infancy at a temple of Kossuth. He has had little contact with anyone not in the temple until just the last year or so, and any stories of his time growing up are quite strange. But he does know some interesting tales and legends from Calimshan that are unfamiliar. Or some of them may follow a similar structure to tales along the sword coast, but they have different names, and some of the events or endings of the stories are different in Ixsas's version of the stories.
Ixsas is eager to hear details of anything Zeds or Krackle have learned about the Cult of the Dragon from their dealings with them. If nothing else, he always asks them to recount any encounters they had with the cultists again as though he expects to glean something new from rehearing the story.
Zeds easily chats up the brothers, building trust and such... He doesn't push on Dragon Cult info at all unless they bring it up first. He's trying to seem more into them (well not into them) than into pressing for cult info. Other than that and taking a turn at watch, Zeds has no plans...
Zeds easily shares with Ixsas and Serge his experiences with the Cult - Greenest and their camp and then trying to track them down. He has no real useful information, he feels, but shares what he has.
Krackle sits around a fire and as others share their experiances and history, The kobold opens up a bit about his past as well. He shares that he grew up living in the sewers under Baulders Gate, scavenging what he could to survive. One day he came across the body of a dead gnome wizard and the kobold quickly moved to take anything of value. While looting the body, someone shouted for the guards and he ended up fleeing the city wanted for murder...
After having a nice chat and shifts at watch it is soon the next day. Only 3 more days and you will reach the rest stop.
Faelsin says "By the end of the day we should be at the northern edge of the Trollclaws."
Breakfast is the leftover badger stew.
It's a bit chilly but there are no clouds in the sky this day. Wanting to leave this region a tad more quickly Faelsin asks "I don't plan to stop until nightfall. Can a few of you go hunt and gather as we keep on progressing forward. The caravan is slow enough that it should be easy enough to catch up to."
For those hunting and gathering please roll Survival Check.
(( OOC: As I mentioned before, Ixsas rearranged his spell list after the long rest. He has prepared Create Food and Water today in case we don't have time to gather food or in case we're not successful in gathering enough food and water. ))
Krackle spots some small tracks in the mud and points them out to Zeds. The kobold motions for zeds to follow him and points out the two birds. "Should we attack them both at the same time?" The kobold asks as he gestures to the birds. "I'll take the one on the left if you can take the one on the right..."
He then pulls out his crossbow and aims at the bird to the left. "1...2....3" He counts before firing a bolt towards the bird... If Zeds chooses not to follow krackle then he would attempt to twin spell a firebolt to hit both birds.
((I'm good having went out hunting with Krackle...))
Zeds, when the birds are pointed out to him, nods to Krackle to show he understands the plan. Drawing his shortbow and aiming his arrow as quietly as possible, he aims as Krackle quietly counts up. On hearing "three" he releases his arrow!
The crescent moon. shines brightly tonight and Zeds you see a flock of leather wings pass by the moon over the camp. Looking closer you see medium sized creatures with leathery bat like wings. This flock descends in mass onto the camp.

I leave it up to the party to decide who goes hunting and who stays behind as guards.
For those hunting and gathering please roll Survival Check.
Zeds is feeling determined to provide at least as much meat as Krackle... So he stalks and hunts and looks for something to bring down.
Survival: 9-1 for an 8!
:D
Krackle would also agree to go hunting again, feeling quite proud to have fed the caravan after his last hunt!
survival 14
(( OOC: Ixsas has a +7 in Survival, so that would be his minimum check on a nat-1. 😂 ))
While Krackle and Zeds are looking for food, Ixsas will stay with Serge to guard the caravan and watch for any threats, especially trolls!
Perception 17
(( OOC: As I mentioned before, Ixsas rearranged his spell list after the long rest. He has prepared Create Food and Water today in case we don't have time to gather food or in case we're not successful in gathering enough food and water. ))
Krackle goes off on the hunt and finds 2 birds as big as Krackle scratching at the ground worm hunting.
Krackle spots some small tracks in the mud and points them out to Zeds. The kobold motions for zeds to follow him and points out the two birds.

Crossbow attack. Attack: 11 Damage: 10
((I'm good having went out hunting with Krackle...))

Shortbow Attack: 19 to hit for 7 piercing damage
Zeds and Krackle strike true killing both birds. You will eat well today.
At the caravan Ixsas sees no trolls or enemies of any kind.
Once the birds are brought Malfa plucks the feathers and butchers the birds in preparation for dinner.
It is soon the end of the day, and the caravan stops just a little bit outside of the Trollclaws.
Malfa serves dinner which is some grilled chickens.
During Watch everyone please roll Perception
Zeds Perception: 21
Ixsas: Perception 17
krackle perception 20
((OOC: it looks like Krackle needs to try that roll again.))

(Everyone let me know whether you were sleeping in Krackle's carriage or out in the open.)
